MANUFACTURING: QUALITY

Quality: The Thread Of Our Existence

Our dedication to high quality standards is extremely evident throughout each and every part of our company ~ in every product that we produce, and in every service that we provide.  Each aspect of our Customer-driven practices is supported by a broad scope of quality assurance processes.  Superior features:

  • World-class, quality control procedures in place to ensure accuracy throughout every facet of our organization (including both production and non-production related processes)
  • Continual investment in state-of-the-art technology throughout our organization
  • Extensive exploratory work and research well in advance of any planned manufacturing
  • Thorough testing of all raw materials in order to guarantee intended use and end-environment suitability
  • In-house Quality Assurance Laboratory utilizing the most technologically advanced equipment available today; calibrated in accordance with F.D.A. requirements
  • Cutting edge technology employed to enhance apparel production, fabric usage and garment consistency
  • Advanced Color Management System for color measurement and color matching used to guarantee continuity of color on items manufactured in a variety of global locales; ability to send and receive lab dips to or from any mill in the world
  • Detailed pattern and specification development procedures
  • Processes in place for both prototype sample and finished goods approval
  • A six-point, multi-tiered inspection policy including pre- and post-production procedures ranging from fabric selection to finished product
  • Comprehensive and thorough production checkpoint systems
  • A final audit measuring Customer-specific product requirements performed using Military Standard 105D sampling plan and specifications
  • Frequent site inspections and extensive audits performed at partner facilities to ensure comprehensive multi-level compliance

In addition to all of the above measures, we also have an ongoing in-line statistical auditing procedure at the operator sewing level.  Operators and processes are checked randomly every day to make certain that our garments are sewn properly.  Our operating AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) is 4.0 and is equal to, or better than, that required of most major apparel retailers.  Final inspection is also done statistically, and is conducted both prior to shipment to our distribution center, and again upon receipt at the designated warehouse.

Each step in our quality control procedures is imperative to the overall manufacturing process.  After all, the next inspector is our Customer.
